History of AAGPS Head of the River Rowing Regatta

1925 NSW AAGPS Head of the River

After the success in the Yaralla Cup, Sydney High School did one better this year and won the Head of the River. Not only was this a triumph for the rowing team, but also one for the school - it was their very first senior premiership in GPS sport.

The conditions were described as splendid with a slight ebb tide and a light north westerly wind, giving an advantage to the crews on the northern side of the river.
