School Rowing in New South Wales

The schoolboy regatta of the Athletic Association of the Great Public Schools of NSW commenced in 1893 and is limited to GPS schools.

The schoolgirls regatta is by comparison, an open regatta for all schools.

The Combined High School regatta has a history dating back to 1965 and is keenly contested.

In recent times, the NSW Rowing Association has also commenced a NSWRA Head of the River for all schoolboys, not just for schools associated with the GPS.
