School Rowing in Western Australia
School rowing in Western Australia has a proud history.
The first boys competition was undertaken in 1899. With the Public Schools Association being established in 1905, the Head of the River as it is known today commenced in 1909.
The girls competition has a more recent start and comprises six competing schools.
Rowing Western Australia conduct State Championships in school events.
