1998 APS Head of the River

Whilst Scotch College took its turn to win the boy's Head of the River, Geelong Grammar continued it's long run of success in the girl's Head of the River.

The big changes this year were the introduction of the schoolgirl first eight in place of the first and second fours. The third, fourth and fifth fours were retained and there was no second fours race.
