The Interstate Championships were conducted on Thursday 23rd March and the morning of 25th March. The National Championships commenced on the afternoon of 27th March and finished on Monday afternoon, 27th March.

The regatta was conducted in cool weather with a wide variation in wind conditions and thus a wide variation of rowing conditions.
