1982 South Australian Schools' Head of the River

Saturday, 10 April – West Lakes:

The 1982 SA Head of the River featured the following events:

- Boys First Eight

- Boys Second Eight

- Boys & Girls First Four

- Girls Second Four

- Boys & Girls Lightweight Four

- Boys Under 16 Four

- Boys & Girls Under 15 Four

- Boys Under 14 Four

St. Peter's College made it back-to-back in the Boys First Eight with a 1 length victory of Prince Alfred College. St. Peter's also won the Second Eight, and Under 16 Four (Division A). In the Girls regatta, Pembroke won the Girls First Four for the first time. Unley High School won the Second Four, with Scotch College winning the Lightweight Four and the Girls Under 15 Fours.
