1976 South Australian Schools' Head of the River

The 1976 SA Head of the River featured the following events:
- First Eight
- Second Eight
- Open Four
- Open Lightweight Four
- Under 16 Four
- Under 15 Four
- Under 14 Four
St. Peter's College won both the First and Second Eights for the second-straight year, wth the other results of the regatta shared quite evenly amongst the other schools. Christian Brothers College won their first event at the SA Head of the River since 1971 with a victory in the Open Four. Scotch College won the Lightweight Four, Pulteney Grammar won the Under 16 Four, St. Peter's won the Under 15 Four and Prince Alfred won the Under 14 Four.
