1973 South Australian Schools' Head of the River

The 1973 SA Head of the River featured the following events:

- First Eight

- Second Eight

- Open Four

- Open Lightweight Four

- Under 16 Four

- Under 15 Four

- Under 14 Four


St. Peter's College won the Gosse Shield for First Eights two years-in-a-row, whilst also winning the Under 16 Four. Meanwhile, Pulteney Grammar School broke St. Peter's 12-year streak of Second Eight victories. PGS also won the Lightweight Four. King's College won the Open Four and Under 15 Four, and Scotch College won the Under 14 Four.
