1934 South Australian Schools' Head of the River
Saturday, 21 April – Torrens Lake:
The 1934 Head of the River featured the following events on the Torrens Lake:
- First Eight
- Open Tub Fours (Fixed)
- Under 16 Tub Fours (Fixed)
- Under 15 Tub Fours (Fixed)
The Advertiser wrote that almost 10,000 people lined the banks of the Torrens. St. Peter's College won the First Eight for the first time since 1931 and their maiden Gosse Shield with a two-length victory over Scotch College. They also reclaimed the Blackmore Shield with their defeat of Prince Alfred College in the heat. St. Peter's also won the Open and Under 16 Tub Four (fixed).
