Phil Manglesdor wrote the following report for Adelaide's Sunday Mail:
Adelaide Uni mens rowing eight won the Oxford and Cambridge Cup at the
Australian Universities rowing championships in Perth last week. The race is the second biggest mens Interstate rowing race held each year in Australia
but the magnificent solid silver trophy is the biggest and most impressive in all Australian rowing competitions.

Adelaide Uni won the 2000 metre race by just 1.25 seconds ahead of the defending champions from Sydney Uni with Melbourne Uni a distant third.

Adelaide Uni also won the mens coxed fours title, again ahead of Sydney Uni but by just 0.69 second, whilst their womens eight ran second in their final behind Melbourne Uni.

The crews were coached by Brenton Terrell, the former Olympic rep. and 1986 Commonwealth Games sculling medallist.

The coxswain of the two winning Adelaide Uni crews was Georgia Litt, who also coxed the 2016 Interstate SA Kings Cup crew which won a bronze medal this year.

Adelaide Uni "BLACKS" legend, George Jovanovich, coxed the winning Adelaide Uni Intervarsity mens eight in 1979, which was only their second victory in nearly 50 years, at that time, and he is the proud uncle of Georgia, the 2016 winning coxswain.
