2016 World Championships Rotterdam

The World Championships in an Olympic year are combined with the Junior World Championships. In 2016 for the first time, the Under 23 World Championships will also be combined with this event.

Selection

Given that the Olympic team had to be settled first and additional crews such as the men's and women's eights given the opportunity to qualify, rowers were given the option of trialling in June for selection. After the disappointment of missing Olympic qualification, very few showed interest in trialling for the non-Olympic Worlds.
