2009 World Under 23 Championships Racice

Selection for this team was targetted with the emphasis on talent development. In other words, selection had future gold medallists in mind.

The regatta was at a well known course but unfortunately, a cyclonic weather hit the regatta with several boat racks overturned and many boats destroyed.

The Australian team finished with two bronze medals which placed it equal twentieth on the medla standings.
