Queensland won the Rowing Australia Cup only for the second time. Rowing Queensland President Barnaby Eaton accepted the trophy. The Victorians, so used to winning this trophy, were again relegated into third place behind New South Wales. It was again a very close fought competition with the result needing the final race to determine the result.

Results for the Interstate Championships can be found through this link. Due to the concurrent holding of the World Cup, the Interstate Championships were held in the afternoon of the second last day of the combined event.
