Alison Withers

Mercantile Rowing Club (VIC)

Nalini Blacker recruited Alison to Mercs during the 2001/02 season possibly, into a group of lightweight girls being coached by Graeme Boykett at the time. Alison's coach David Colvin recalls Alison as a rower who undertook the sport in proportion to the rest of her life. She rowed but undertook her studies with great diligence. He also recalls that she was to rapidly become  our quickest sculler whilst in good company at the Club. Clearly a naturally talented athlete who enjoyed her sport.
