Ian Winter

Whilst Ian was a renown rower rower and coach in Tasmania, he is perhaps best known for being the author of the book "Blades Down Under" the official history of the 1990 World Championships. It is a well produced book that provides many insights into the development of Lake Barrington as well as the operation of the successful regatta

Ian was a regular contributor of rowing articles to The Mercury. He died early in 1994 after a long illness.
