Tim Webster

Melbourne University Boat Club (VIC)

The following profile has been copied from the 2024 Victorian Rowing Hall of Fame booklet upon Tim's induction.

Timothy took up rowing as a coxswain in 2005. Known as one of the 'Coxing Brothers', his brother David is also a praised Australian coxswain. As a senior, he coxed for the Melbourne University Boat Club. He also earned a scholarship with the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS).

Timothy made his international debut as an Australian coxswain for the Men's Eight at the 2011 U23 World Championships. Expanding his career as an international representative, Timothy coxed the Men's Eight to a bronze medal at the 2012 U23 World Championships. He then went on to win a Senior World Championship silver medal as cox of the Lightweight Men's Eight in 2013.

At the 2014 World Cup I, Timothy coxed the Second Australian Men's Eight to a fourth place final finish. His last appearance as an Australian representative was at the 2014 World Rowing Championships, where he coxed a men's pair. The crew finished third in the B Final for an overall ninth-place finish. We applaud Timothy for his career achievements and thank him for his contribution to our sport.
