Charlotte Sutherland
Mercantile Rowing Club (Vic)
Charlotte is one of the Sutherland twins and hails from Corryong in northern Victoria.
Charlotte started rowing at Geelong Grammar with her twin sister Sophie in 2007. She loved the sport and has continued ever since with a gap in 2012 due to injury.

Charlotte is obviously a superb rower with a great future.

Asked why rowing, she talked about setting goals and achieving them. In fact she added that goal setting and achievement of those goals was addictive! Charlotte also mentioned that being around good and like minded people was fun and invigorating.
Mercs? A great environment with an enjoyable social life. The community is great and you always feel welcome. It is a second family to me.
In terms of satisfying races, she liked the 2015 World Championships eight. The crew made changes which made significant improvements.
