Albert Park Rowing Club and Mercantile Rowing Club (VIC)

The following obituary appeared in the Mercantile Rowing Club 1970-71 annual report.

Stan Stewart was interested in rowing during most of his life. He was a very capable and dedicated administrator, and for a number of years was President of Albert Park Rowing Club. Some time after resigning from Park he joined Mercs. and regularly supported the Club at Regatta events. He rarely missed a meeting of the South-West Corner and endeared himself to members by his happy smile and cheery disposition.

Several years ago he suffered a rather severe stroke, from which he did not completely recover.
