V J Saddler

Thomas Colles wrote an essay on rowing in Victoria in 1860s which was included in John Lang's book The Victorian Oarsman and which included the following insights into V J Saddler.

A brother of the above [H A Saddler]; an excellent man in a boat, who could be relied on at any pinch in the race. He also rowed for the Melbourne Rowing Club.
