John Rosser

West Australian Rowing Club (WA)

1960 Olympic crew stroked by John Rosser

John was the son of Gra Rosser, a notable WA rower who raced in the Interstate Championships, and John's son Ben also rowed successfully. Gra Rosser's brother  Eric Rosser won the WA Champion Sculls in 1905. A good family lineage in rowing. If we go back yet further in history, Gra's grandfather was a renown cricketer in early Fremantle. The success of the Fremantle cricket team in 1860 was credited to all rounder Alfred Rosser.1
