Dr J William Rock

South Melbourne Rowing Club (VIC) now Albert Park South Melbourne Rowing Club (VIC)

Rock was a member of the South Melbourne Rowing Club and served in WWI

Rock was a surgeon who lived in St Vincent Place Albert Park when he enlisted at the age 50 years old.

He served in England but struggled with the winter with bronchitis attacks. His service in England was cut short. He served with the rank of Captain.
