Gordon Nicholson, brother of Margaret Coe senior, and uncle of David, Andrew, Malcolm and Margaret Coe, passed away peacefully on Friday 18th August after a brief illness.
Gordon, a long-time member and associate of Yarra Yarra, particularly in the Yea rowing era, was well known to the older members of Yarra and we extend our sincere condolences to Margaret and the Coe family.

Gordon Nicholson:born 1927, died August 1989
Gordon, a brother of Margaret Coe senior and uncle of David, Andy, Margaret and Malcom passed away just before his sixty-second birthday.
Gordon joined Yarra in the early fifties and remained active for many years in addition to being an official of the VRA for a similar period. Most importantly, Gordon was a foundation member of the Yea rowing club.
To the Coe family and to Margaret in particular, we extend our sympathy on their sad loss.
