Norman S Muir

Essendon Rowing Club and Mercantile Rowing Club (VIC)

The following obituary appeared in the Mercantile 1963-64 annual report.

Norman joined the Club in 1963.

However, he had devoted a lifetime to rowing and was a Life Member and ex-President of the Essendon Rowing Club.

Many of the older members will recall that he was a member of the Victorian Rowing Association Executive Committee for 26 years.

Norman attended all rowing functions and was looking forward to attending the 1964 Olympic Games. All will regret that he was not spared to see this event.
