Patrick McFarlane

Albert Park Rowing Club, now Albert Park South Melbourne Rowing Club (VIC)

Patrick McFarlane was an estate agent who was born in Queenstown, New Zealand.

A long-time member of the Albert Park club, he had served on the committee before World War One.

He lived at 183 Cecil Street, South Melbourne, and has no recorded wins before WWI.

Patrick enlisted as a gunner on 16th January 1916, aged 41 in the 8th Field Artillery Brigade. Arriving in France in November that year, Patrick served in the artillery until the end of the war.

Patrick returned to Australia in June 1919.
