M S MacNaughton

Mercantile Rowing Club (VIC)

MacNaughton was a member of some 34 years when he died in the 1937-38 season. The annual report noted: He was very highly regarded and formed many friendships among his contemporaries. He had a successful rowing career, and after retiring from from regatta rowing, continued to take a keen interest in the Club's welfare.

Following his racing in 1905, he served on the Club's Committee from 1906 to 1911.

Regatta results included:

1905 - Ballarat Regatta, maiden eight, four seat - First

1905 - Barwon Regatta, maiden eight, four seat - First

1905 - Seymour Regatta, maiden four, two seat - First

1905 - Seymour Regatta, junior four, two seat - First

Season 1905-06 winning crews including the maiden and junior fours from Seymour regatta in which MacNaughton won
