Milton Kent in 1925 winning the State Championships for Haberfield
The 1925 State Sculling Championship race caused considerable controversy with Kent winning from Jack Goulding. Kent was a former professional sculler and was reinstated by the NSW Rowing Association as an amateur some time before the event. It was reported that his reinstatement was due to his devoted efforts in coaching senior amateur scullers including Bull and Lorimer.
