1888 - Lost World Championships to Henry Searle (AUS)

1889 - World Championship title reverts to Kemp following death of Searle.

1889 - World Sculling Champion after defeating Neil Matterson (AUS)

1889 - World Sculling Champion after defeating John McLean (AUS)

1890 - Lost World Championship to John McLean in a rematch

Andrew Guerin developed and extended these histories to the current format in 2004 for publication in 2004 and then expanded the site.
