The youth women’s coxless four from Yarra Yarra struck gold at the interstate King’s Cup regatta at Carrum in March this year, Representing Victoria coach Rob Jones, 1967 King’s Cup oarsman, must be very proud as all these girls came through the ranks of club rowing to triumph for Victoria. The club congratulates them on their extra efforts which has now proved worthwhile.

Rob Jones

We congratulate Rob on his life membership of Yarra. Rob’s words on accepting the honour are very true. “The greatest satisfaction you of a club is what you put into it”.

And Rob has put in.

Rob has rowed for Melbourne Grammar, Yarra, Victoria and Australia. When Yolanda and Cameron took an interest in rowing, Rob started coaching and excelled in that also, coaching three Victorian women’s youth fours in the Kings Cup regatta with a win for an all Yarra crew.

Rob has a young women’s squad in training for this season.

Thank you Rob.
