Russell Hookway

Lindisfarne Rowing Club (TAS), Buckingham Rowing Club (TAS), Tweed Heads Rowing Club (NSW)

Russell was a prominent Tasmanian rower who competed in the 1980s. In 1984, he switched to lightweight rowing, coming under the excellent leadership and coaching of David Poulson. This was one of Tasmania's great periods of lightweight rowing.

Russell was a national champion and also an Australian representative.
