Meghan Hester

Mercantile Rowing Club (VIC)

Meghan commenced rowing at Loretto  in year 8 and just loved the sport.

2013 – Head of the Schoolgirls First eight seven seat – B Final

2014 – Joined Mercantile

2015 – Raced all races including winning two State Championships in the under 21 single and under 23 double. Third in NSW Championships in under 21 single

2015 – National Championships – Under 21 Lightweight scull – Fifth

2015 – National Championships – Under 21 Lightweight double scull – Fourth

2015 – Selection trials – Under 21 Scull – Third

2015 – Australian Under 21 team for Trans Tasman Series – reserve

2015 – Jeff Wylie Memorial Trophy for most improved lightweight,

Best race? ” I have two. The semi-final in the lightweight single at the Nationals where I rowed through the field to come from third to first over the last 500 metres. The other is the win at the Head of the Yarra with the senior B girls.”
