Rebecca first joined YYRC 30 years ago, she learnt to row at university and has rowed for Cambridge, St Andrew (Edinburgh) and Lake Macquarie (NSW),. Although she spent most of her time rowing, she did manage to get a Chemical Engineering degree and has worked in manufacturing since, but is now back at Melbourne University studying for a Master of Contemporary Art. After coaching the novices at Albert Park College where her daughter rowed, she decided she’d rather be back in a boat rather than on the bank and re-joined YYRC last year.
