William "Bill" Firth

Yarra Yarra Rowing Club (VIC)

Bill was a member from 1950/51 season until the 1980/81 Season. He passed away on 26/5/1990.

Whilst he did not have any recorded wins, Bill served on the Committee in both the 1951/52 and 1954/55 seasons.

In the Yarra Yarra Rowing Club newsletter Yarra Yabbie on 20th June 1990 it is recorded:

Vale also to Bill Firth. Bill passed away in early June. Bill rowed in the early 50’s. The highlight probably was rowing at Royal Hobart Regatta in 1951. Bill was very heavily involved in social side of club for many years.
