Horace J G Edwards
WA Rowing Club then Fremantle Rowing Club (WA)
Died 1933
Horace Edwards was an important coach, administrator and generally an important figure in not only the WA Rowing Club and later the Fremantle Rowing, but also in the WA Rowing Association. It appears that the transfer of Clubs took place in about 1906.
Such was Horace's standing in Fremantle, that in about 1907, he chaired a meeting which resulted in the formation of the Fremantle Ladies' Rowing Club. He also coached their first crews and was recognised with a gift in 1908 for his coaching.
