Andy Bray

Yarra Yarra Rowing Club (VIC)

Andy joined in the 1996/97 season and immediately started racing successfully.

Administrative tasks followed in subsequent years, serving as:

Committee member 2000/01, 

Vice-captain 2001/02, 

Vice-president 2002 to 2005 

Races won:-

1996 - Warrnambool regatta, novice four (2)

1996 - Hamilton regatta, novice four (2)

1998 - Yarra Yarra regatta, mixed eight (4)

1998 - Yarrawonga regatta, novice four (2)

1998 - Mildura regatta, novice four (2)

1998 - Wentworth regatta, novice four (2)

1999 - Mildura regatta, Intermediate four (bow), Novice quad scull (bow) and Mixed eight (bow)

1999 - Wentworth regatta, novice quad scull (bow) and Novice pair (bow)

1999 - Hamilton regatta, female ā€œDā€ quad scull (cox)

Also, Andy was involved in coaching female crews in this period. The annual reports have not always listed coaches.

Given his significant contribution as a coach, he was elected as a Life member at the 2006/07 AGM.

Andy had a practice coxed four named after him.
