In 1908 he won the Championship only after he filled in for club mate Percy Ivens on the day due to illness.  

Brash raced in the same era as club mate Percy Ivens who was the in-form sculler in Victoria at that time. However Harold Brash still had plenty of success.

Harold Brash died young in 1929.
