Regatta organizer within Victoria for several decades including several Australian Championships. Bill was known as the Regatta King. Not only was a long serving and excellent competition manager for Victorian rowing, he was an innovator. Many of the things we take for granted today, arose from the work of Bill Bradshaw.
He personally lifted the standard and professionalism of regatta organisation in Australia by running regattas of a very high standard. Other State Associations had to match the standard at Interstate and National Championships.
His confident and calm demeanour was born of excellent planning, thoroughness and experience: having seen all issues, he was capable of dealing with them in an expeditiously and correct manner.
