Patrick learned his rowing in his home country Ireland before spending time on two occasions at Mercantile Rowing Club in Australia. He is a delightful and engaging young man who fitted in very well at Mercantile and won a National Championship during his second stay. When he returned to Ireland, he was unable to break into the national Olympic team and so has more recently focused on coastal rowing.
