David Alexander

Pine Rivers Rowing Club (QLD)

David started as a novice at Pine Rivers and quickly worked his way up to State Championships in 1977. When the Pine Rivers crew won the 1978 race by a convincing 3.6 seconds, they were selected as the State crew. Bob Bleakley was named as reserve.

In 1981, he was called upon to strengthen the Toowong crew which won the State Championship.

1977 - Queensland Champion Men's Lightweight Four, stroke - First

1978 - Queensland Champion Men's Lightweight Four, stroke - First

1978 – Interstate Men’s Lightweight Four Championship stroke – Eliminated in repechage

1981 - National Championship Men's Lightweight Four (in both coxed and coxless events), two seat - Finalist

1981 – Interstate Men’s Lightweight Four Championship two seat – Sixth

Andrew Guerin developed and extended these histories to the current format in 2004 for publication in 2004 and then expanded the site.
