1870 - Intercolonial Four Championship Tasmanian "Derwent Belle" crew stroke - Second

1872 - Intercolonial Four Championship Hobart Heavy Crew stroke - Fourth

These race were precursors to the current Interstate Championships. The 1870 race was as part of the Balmain Regatta and the 1872 event, had representatives from three colonies. Australia's first Prime Minister Edmund Barton raced in the third placed Paramatta River crew in the 1872 race.
