Australian Crews Prepare

With all Australian teams settled for the Olympic Games, World Championships, World Under 23 Championships, World Under 19 Championships, preparations are nearing completion for these big events. For the first time the senior, under 23 and under 19 Championships will be combined for a great regatta at Rotterdam.

Racing for Australian teams has commenced with the first leg of racing completed at Penrith from 30th June to 2nd July 2016 for the Youth Cup, an event between Australia and New Zealand for under 21 rowers. Results have been posted on the website.

The next event is the Olympic Games in Rio in early August.

The idea for this history originated from the Olympic Rowing and World Senior Rowing Championship histories written by Andrew Guerin and Margot Foster in 1991, 1992 & 1993 for the Australian team handbooks. Andrew Guerin developed and extended these histories to the current format in 2004 for publication in 2004 and then expanded the site.
