1994 Nations Cup—
Paris France

Selection

Three of the junior team crews raced at the Nations Cup as a warm up for their Championships. These were Amy Safe, the men's & women's double scull, men's pair and the men's four. The men's eight, men's lightweight four, men's lightweight double scull and women's lightweight double scull were crews who also raced at the Trans Tasman U23 series. The other under 23 crews were unable to make the tour due to financial constraints. Matt Cordery in the single also raced at the Trans Tasman in the double scull. Only the men's pair of the Stewart brothers was a crew prepared for this event.

The regatta was conducted on 23rd and 24th July 1994 at the course Vaires sur Marne in Paris.

In concluding his report, team manager Graeme Boykett advised that it was "...a worthwhile decision to send a team to The Nations Cup, and I am sure that all members benefitted. ...It is generally recognised that The Nations Cup is a world championship even though it is limited to a specific grading of rower as is the junior worlds."
