 Squad selected was: Laurie Anderson (WA), Peter Shakespeare (WA), Gary Dehring (WA), Kerry Jelbart (VIC), Bill Liley (VIC), David Bishop (VIC), Tim Conrad (NSW), Chris Shinners (NSW), Bill Dankbaar (SA) and Mike Page (SA). 

The Australians finished third in their heat, second in their repechage, and fifth in the semi-final. They won final B.

Bow: Tim Conrad (QLD)
Str: Peter Shakespeare (WA) and Team Captain
Cch: Joe Saunders (WA)

The pair followed a similar path to the four, third in their heat, second in the repechage, fourth in their semifinal and second in Final B.

Men’s Scull - Tenth

Jeff Sykes (VIC)

Jeff Sykes finished third in his heat, second in the repechage, fourth in the semi-final and fourth in final B.
